Natural Purple Malachite / Purple Peacock Stone Tear drop -- 82g

A beautiful polished freeform stone displaying a soft ivory-white base with intricate lavender, lilac and purple natural-looking patterns throughout. The unusual colouring and delicate feathered patterning give this piece a distinctive, almost painterly appearance.

This is a natural stone sold under the trade names Purple Malachite and Purple Peacock Stone. The terminology for this relatively new material is not yet consistent within the crystal and lapidary trade, so it is listed according to the name under which it was supplied to us rather than making a definitive mineralogical identification.

The stone has been shaped and highly polished to reveal its natural patterning and has a lovely smooth feel in the hand. Each piece of this material is individual, with its own distribution of purple markings and cream/white areas.
